Our vision is expressed in a word picture - a tree.
The Roots - Our Beliefs
We believe there is one God and Creator who is Lord of all. (Acts 17:24-27, Isaiah 42:5)
We believe God’s only Son, Jesus, lived, died on the cross, rose from the dead, and now intercedes for the salvation of all mankind. (Romans 8:31-37, Colossians 1:15-18, Hebrews 1:1-3)
We believe an individual experiences salvation (a personal relationship with God) through repentance and active faith in Jesus Christ. (Colossians 1:25-29, Acts 3:17-20, Galatians 2:20)
We believe an individual grows in his/her personal relationship with Jesus Christ through God’s Holy Spirit who lives in him/her. (Acts 1:1-4, John 14:16, 25-26, John 16:12-15)
We believe God’s Word (the Bible) is God’s infallible truth after which an individual must pattern his/her beliefs. (1 Thessalonians 2:13, 2 Timothy 3:16-17, Hebrews 4:12, John 5:37-40)

The Trunk - Our Character
We endeavor to be a community willfully committed to Christ’s transforming work in our lives and in our world. As Christ transforms us our character must continually grow wider, taller, stronger, and bear the bark (distinction) of the Lord we profess.
The Branches - Our Structure
Just as the branches of a tree extend from the trunk and determine the form of the tree, our structure is a network of ministry supporting limbs. Our leadership team, pastoral staff, and ministry leaders give support and form for all the ministries at Cornerstone.
The Leaves - Our People and Ministries
The leaves of a tree are what are noticed the most inasmuch as they give evidence of life. Our people and ministries are the evidence of Christ’s life among us. Ephesians 4:12 is the basis for all of our energy and focus - “To equip God’s people for works of service, so that the Body of Christ will be built up.”

A community willfully committed to Christ's transforming work in our lives and in our world.
